We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Human Resources Assistant to join our team. This position will play a key role in supporting HR operations, with primary responsibilities including payroll processing, administrative support, and assistance with employee relations and business compliance activities such as business licensing and registration.

PAY: $18 / hour
LOCATION: 100% remote from home

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll accurately and on time in accordance with company policies and federal/state regulations.
  • Maintain payroll records, respond to payroll inquiries, and liaise with accounting as needed.
  • Assist with HR administrative tasks, including onboarding, file management, and data entry.
  • Support compliance efforts by coordinating business licenses, permits, and registrations, ensuring timely renewals and filings.
  • Assist in the coordination of employee relations activities, including internal communications, performance documentation, and conflict resolution support.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
  • Prepare HR-related reports and documentation as needed.
  • Provide general support to the HR department and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in HR, payroll, or administrative support roles preferred.
  • Familiarity with payroll software and HRIS systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
